Nurturing Future Innovators at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT)
Recently, at SPIRO : me, Arindam ( Head of AI & Digital Products), Ayub Ng’ang’a, Dickson Mumo ) had the honor of visiting JKUAT, a renowned institution in Kenya with a rich history of excellence dating back to the country’s early years of independence.
@Dr. Muchiri warmly welcomed and guided us through the campus, shedding light on the university’s remarkable contributions to engineering, research, and innovation.
We started with a lively EV vs ICE debate with sharp insights from JKUAT Mechatronics and Mechanical students. A hands-on session followed, tackling real-world issues like internet gaps, load shedding, and EV expansion.
After aptitude test and technical discussion, 3 top talents were selected to join Spiro Nairobi City County for IoT, AI, and Spiro Maps product development.
Our visit was incredibly rewarding, and we look forward to coming back soon with Freeman Kuguyo ( Africa Technology Center Head – IoT, Software & Payments ), Vishakha Bhasin, our Head of Software, and Prateek Bhamri ( Head of Cyber Security ) as we continue our quest to recruit top talent ..more details in 1st Comment
